Nutrition

Safe and healthy food is essential for our equine companions and our equine athletes who rely on appropriate ingredients to maximize performance. Supplements are also required at times and should be free from contamination, as well as be effective in improving the horse’s condition.

Nutrition researchers assess how food is absorbed, assimilated, biosynthesized, catabolized and excreted by the horse in order to understand how it relates to health and disease.  As more horse owners seek a holistic approach to keeping their horse healthy, we will see continued growth in this field of research.
